Background
Pophouse Entertainment – the powerhouse behind successes like the Abba Museum are the pioneers behind the new museum detailing the life of Tim “Avicii” Bergling. The museum is not your typical museum experience, instead it is a glimpse into the life of Tim and his music.
We were contacted to produce a part of the exhibition which turned out to be VR-karaoke. We produced three VR experiences where you get to meet collaborators of Avicii and sing-a-long in your favorite songs.
Our solution
Production took place in the fall of 2020 in Stockholm and Los Angeles. IVAR Studios collaborated with Wonderworld VR in creating the three VR experiences.
Shot in high quality 8k video we directed, produced and edited the three pieces.
The Result
Using VR in public spaces and exhibitions can be problematic due to constant usage. We picked out, prepped and delivered a finished hardware solution of prepared VR-headsets using a custom player application. The headsets are presented in one booth each at the museum, giving you the option to choose which song to sing.
Each experience is around 2-3 minutes and gives you the opportunity to sing face to face with your favorite artists.
