Background

In the fall of 2021, National Geographic released their brand new outdoor clothing line, developed by Corem, focusing heavily on sustainability and how we as consumers can reduce the impact on the planet. 

The front figures of this campaign were Alaskan conservation photographer Acacia Johnson and national geographic explorer and IVAR Studios co-founder Martin Edström. They were both to tell their different stories of how they take on meaningful missions and bring high-quality and nature-friendly outerwear.

Sustainable nature-friendly outerwear from National Geographic

Our solution

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the IVAR Studios team worked with production company Anima Films to create this commercial video.

The series was produced in both Sweden and the US simultaneously, where IVAR Studios handled the Swedish production, checking in with the other teams to ensure the visual storytelling was similar throughout the project.

The series was produced in both Sweden and the US simultaneously, where IVAR Studios handled the Swedish production, checking in with the other teams to ensure the visual storytelling was similar throughout the project.

The Result

The IVAR team geared up for a few days in the High Coast of Sweden, in which Martin Edström has great bonds. Our mission was to capture Martin on assignment and create a story where we showcased his ways of telling stories through immersive technologies while displaying the importance of high-quality products to do the job. The result of this expedition was a 2 minute long traditional commercial video that would headline the men’s collection of these brand-new apparel from National Geographic.
